Describe the findings associated with malignant skin changes (for example: persistent sores, lump or swelling, bleeding lesions, etc.)
what is a good example of connecting health outcome to social determinant?
Using what you learned in Modules 1-3 up to this point, discuss 3 key elements you think should be a part of US Healthcare reform. Since we do not know at this point whether the ACA will remain or will be repealed and replaced, what are 3 key elements that should remain or be introduced into US healthcare reform legislation?
For example, children up to the age of 26 being able to remain on their parent’s health insurance or mandates that everyone have healthcare. These are only examples, feel free to discuss any key elements from the readings or your own research. This assignment should be a maximum of 2 paragraphs in length and should be your own original thought. Please cite any sources you used in a standard format (e.g. APA or MLA). Purdue’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) can help with cited and writing. You can find OWL at https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/ . The rest of your submission should be 2 paragraphs (no more then 5 sentences in a paragraph!) on the 3 key elements you chose that should remain or be introduced as discussed above. Remember do not simply state your opinion; explain your rationale for your opinion. Be sure to write properly for an academic audience (review syllabus guidelines).
Grading Rubric:
Submission reflects college level writing. Clear effort is made with sentence structure, word choice, grammar and punctuation. (4pts)
Post discusses 3 key elements of reform and clearly indicates the students perspective supporting it with rationale. (4pts)
Student cites references (2pts)
MY NUMBER ASSIGNED WAS 2 WHICH IS: Oropharyngeal airways
Initial post:
Each student will be assigned a number randomly. Whatever your number is, select the corresponding topic below, then post a minimum of 5 bullet points about the topic.
Your bullet points should address key components of the topic, such as what, how, who, & why. This information should not be basic things you learned in Med/Surg, but rather advanced critical care based.
Think about this as a group effort to create a study guide. Use ONLY your textbook, but do not cut & paste from the book.
Then create, find, or borrow a test style question about your topic & post at the bottom of your bullet points. The format needs to be multiple choice or select all that apply. Think NCLEX style.
Each week include a paragraph with the results from one of your weekly interviews.
Discussion post assignments are worth 20 points each as follows:
Please read the assignment before accepting or messaging.
In this Discussion, you will transform a clinical inquiry into a searchable question in PICO(T) format, so you can search the electronic databases more effectively and efficiently. You will share this PICO(T) question and examine strategies you might use to increase the rigor and effectiveness of a database search on your PICO(T) question.
Review the Resources for guidance and develop a PICO(T) question of interest to you for further study. It is suggested that an Intervention-type PICOT question be developed as these seem to work best for this course.
Post a brief description of your clinical issue of interest. This clinical issue will remain the same for the entire course and will be the basis for the development of your PICOT question. Describe your search results in terms of the number of articles returned on original research and how this changed as you added search terms using your Boolean operators. Finally, explain strategies you might make to increase the rigor and effectiveness of a database search on your PICO(T) question. Be specific and provide examples.
Consider what you’ve learned about the topic you presented.
Define and describe the pathophysiology of fibromyalgia. Include clinical manifestations, evaluation, & treatment.
